Attorney Linda L. Mariani has
practiced matrimonial law since 1978. She has been a Practitioner
Member of the Academy of Family Mediators for twenty one (21) years.
She is a former President of the New London County Bar Association
and former Chair of the Family Law Section. She continues to serve
on the Executive Committee of the Family Bar Section of the
Connecticut Bar Association as she has for many years.
Attorney Mariani initiated the Parenting Education Program which is
now a requirement for all divorcing parents in the State of
Connecticut. She has been selected by her peers for inclusion in the
Woodward/White selection of Best Lawyers in America for many
consecutive years. She is a Board Certified Family Trial Attorney by
the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
Attorney Mariani serves as an Arbitrator Panel Member for the
American Arbitration Association and was a member of the State of
Connecticut Attorney’s Grievance Panel and former president of the
New London County Bar Association’s Women in the Law Section. She
serves on the boards of many civic organizations in New London
County and is a director of the Dime Bank.
She has received Certificates of Commendations from the State of
Connecticut Judicial Department on four separate occasions.
Having served as a vigorous advocate for her clients over the past
thirty years, Attorney Mariani is very excited that the concept of
Collaborative Divorce has come to this area. She has attended
Collaborative Divorce Interdisciplinary Team Trainings in compliance
with the International Academy of Collaborative Professional
Standards for trainers and trainings.
