Monika D. Cornell, Esq. is an experienced mediator and a
collaborative attorney who guides couples and
individuals through all aspects of the divorce process
with the goal of working out a fair settlement while
keeping a divorce from becoming a bitter, endless and
expensive war. Most divorcing couples experience extreme
emotional distress: as a mediator and collaborative
attorney trained to work out disagreements and reduce
conflicts, Ms. Cornell helps her clients focus on their
common goals of protecting their children and avoiding
emotionally and financially draining litigation. Ms.
Cornell's practice, Divorce With Civility, is devoted
solely to mediation and collaborative law.
Ms. Cornell is a member of the Connecticut Bar
Association, the Connecticut Bar Association Family Law
section, the Association For Conflict Resolution as well
as the International Academy of Collaborative
Professionals. She is trained in Family Mediation and
Collaborative and Multi-disciplinary Collaborative
Divorce. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan
(Phi Beta Kappa) and of Boston University School of Law.
She has a son in middle school and a daughter in
college.
