WILLIAM DONALDSON, CFP®, CDFA is co-founder and a partner at The Vista Companies, a group of firms providing comprehensive financial services specializing in the unique financial issues of divorce. A divorcee himself, Mr. Donaldson dedicates his practice to assisting others who have been through divorce or who are currently in the process, helping them to avoid the many costly financial mistakes that are too often overlooked.
In addition to the Certified Financial PlannerTM and Certified Divorce Financial AnalystTM designations, Mr. Donaldson is also an Enrolled Agent with the IRS, a trained divorce mediator, Registered Investment Advisor, Registered Securities Principal and trained as a financial specialist in the Collaborative Divorce process. He is co-President of the CT Council for Divorce Mediation and Collaborative Practice and President of the Collaborative Divorce Team of CT. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Association of Divorce Financial Planners and is a member of the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and an associate member of the CT Bar Association.
